Temple Emanuel Organizations
Emanu-Elders

Our Emanu-Elders meet once a month at Temple. The Elders gather for lunch and for spirited conversation. Each month Rabbi Schadick prepares a cultural or educational program to share with the group. Annual events for the Emanu-Elders include a Chanukah party, a Tu B'Shevat Seder, and a Purim Celebration.

Watch the Temple Calendar for frequent outings to the theater as well as day trips to other communities.

Temple Food Bank

Our food bank is one of the ways that Temple Emanuel gives back to the Grand Rapids community. Each month we provide 30 families with a weeks worth of groceries. Temple Emanuel collects food on Yom Kippur to stock the shelves. Donations from our members also help offset the cost of this mitzvah. The Leonard Newman Tzedakah Fund also helps us with this project.
