Adult Education

Temple Emanuel offers numerous educational programs and often teams with other Grand Rapids' Jewish Organizations to bring noted authors, philosophers, theologians, historians and consultants to enrich the learning opportunities of the West Michigan Jewish Community.

Adult educational programs include discussions and seminars developed by both Rabbi Schadick and Dr. Lewis, Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Emanuel. Other Temple Emanuel members with particular expertise and faculty from nearby universities also develop programs.

Temple Emanuel Religious School

The Temple Emanuel Religious School has a complete Pre-School through High School Program involving nearly 200 students in a comprehensive curriculum developed and taught by 30 committed faculty members including music, art and Hebrew specialists.

The Temple Religious School includes many supplemental activities to help the student experience the full breadth and depth of Jewish life, including community service, charity, social, religious, cultural and historical programs.
