Project Manna logoProject Manna

Project Manna is an aggressive approach to help end world hunger. It's strategic goal is to mobilize a large consumer base to influence food industry corporations to donate 1-2% of their proceeds, or billions of dollars over the next decade, to help stamp out hunger in North America and around the world. It begins with a petition drive which can be accessed by signing on to the website: socialaction.org, and clicking on the Project Manna symbol. There, you will be able to receive more information about this worthwhile project. It is our goal to have every one of our Temple members sign the petition to show their support for Project Manna, and then to send the information to friends and family members in an effort to reach the goal of one million signatures.

Teen with Rake4th Annual Mitzvah Day

Our Fourth Annual Mitzvah Day will be held in April 2004.

Watch this column for details.

There will be various opportunities for adults and families to participate in acts of 'gimilut chasadim', acts of loving kindness. Last year we had several hundred participants for Mitzvah Day, this year we are hoping for more. Plan to work with your Temple family on Mitzvah Day. Together we can help repair the world - Tikkun Olam.
